Netflix Documentary “WHAM!”
The documentary tells the story of the duo with hits like “Club Tropicana”, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”, “Freedom”, “I’m Your Man” and “Last Christmas”. In the documentary, director Chris Smith (“Fyre”, “Sr”) captured the moment of the band’s career in a feature-length film. John Battsek (“The Deepest Breath”) and Simon Halfon (“Supersonic”) acted as producers. The film crew had unlimited access to George and Andrew’s private archives, allowing them to use never-before-seen footage for the documentary, including rare and previously unreleased interviews.
WHAM!’s Christmas song “Last Christmas” also reached number 1 in the UK twice in 2022.
