The fright is good in Bovenkarspel after a dead woman was found last Wednesday. The community center is now opening its doors to anyone who wants to talk. From the community center you can see the house where forensic investigations are currently being carried out. “I am especially very shocked and many with me,” responds mayor Ronald Wortelboer.
There is a lot of speculation in the area. There is a lot of disbelief that something like this happened so close. Many people who live near the house in question do not know the family. “I think one of the woman’s sons played football with my son, but that was a long time ago,” says a neighbor. “They’ve lived there for 20 years and I don’t know anything about the family,” she adds.
One of the rumors currently circulating is that the woman was found in the trunk of the car in the yard. This has not been confirmed. A supermarket employee talks to a customer about the incident: “They say a crime, yes what do you think? That she herself went to lie in that trunk ?!”
It has now become known that the handyman of childcare Berend Botje has been arrested. It is not known how long the investigation will take.
