Bournemouth have taken over goalkeeper Neto from FC Barcelona. The 33-year-old Brazilian, who was reserve keeper behind Marc-André ter Stegen in Catalonia for three years, signed a one-year contract with Bournemouth. Neto was previously under the bar at Fiorentina, Juventus and Valencia.
The one-time Brazilian international played 21 official games for Barcelona. Neto has to compete with Irish goalkeeper Mark Travers at Bournemouth.
The English club was promoted to the Premier League last season and celebrated its return to the highest level on Saturday with a win over Aston Villa (2-0). Bournemouth are also about to strengthen with Marcos Senesi. The Argentine defender is reportedly coming from Feyenoord for 15 million euros.
