Where is that party? Bee shopping center Oosterheem is that party! On May 13 and 14, the shopping center in Zoetermeer will celebrate its 10th anniversary. There are performances by Samantha Steenwijk, Emma Heesters, Mart Hoogkamer and Trafassi. You can also let off steam on bouncy castles and there is cake!
Do your daily shopping, make a cup of coffee or enjoy the sun on the square. The Oosterheem shopping center has been an important part of the district of the same name for ten years now. And that is worth celebrating, the shopkeepers think.
Performances and DJs
On May 13 and 14 they will turn the square upside down with performances by well-known artists, a children’s afternoon with DJs, bouncy castles and performances by the winners of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. For the elderly there is coffee and cake and live music. “The entire program can be visited free of charge,” says Alisha Bansie of Oosterheem shopkeepers’ association.

The fact that the shopping center is still popular in a time of online shopping and home deliveries has everything to do with the interaction between entrepreneurs and local residents, Alisha thinks. “There is a lot of mutual loyalty. Many local residents have been coming here for years. You can find in the mall everything you need for your daily shopping.” There is a bakery, florist, hairdresser, butcher, Hema, patisserie, catering and supermarkets and much more.
Meeting place
“The nice thing is that the shopping center is also a meeting place. It has a social function, you meet local residents that you might never see otherwise. Because of the different shops you also meet many different people. From old to young and from further away and closer. The shopping center is a real connector of the district.”

13:00-18:00 Children’s afternoon with bouncy castles, cotton candy, children’s train, Cocomelon and Mr Bean.
6-6.30 pm: Performance Samantha Steenwijk
21.00-21.30: Performance Emma Heesters
5-10 p.m.: Performance DJ Dioni
Program zonday 14 may
12:00 – 17:00: Kids afternoon with the winners of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Infinity, Girlband JSF and Mixed Up.
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Performances by Senna Williams, Trafassi, Martin Hoogkamer and (DJ) Ruvine La Cruz.
The party program is completely free and open to everyone. Location is shopping center Oosterheem, Oosterheemplein 548 in Zoetermeer.
