Boulder crashes into Greek hotel, sleeping woman (47) crushed in hotel room

On the Greek island of Crete, a boulder crashed into the Greek hotel Markos Studios on the coast of Agia Fotia after a landslide on Sunday. Two hotel rooms were completely destroyed.

A Slovenian woman (47) and her 8-year-old son were buried under the rubble. More than fifty firefighters turned out and managed to get the boy out of the rubble alive after more than an hour of searching. The woman was found dead. The victim’s 51-year-old husband was in another room and was unharmed.

The family was due to leave the hotel on Sunday.
