Bouke is Headpiece of the week. With the ‘Elvis from Emmen’, the North has a new superstar

With Bouke, or singer Bouke Scholten from Emmen, the North has a new superstar. Since the ‘Elvis from Emmen’ together with his ElvisMatters Band won The Tribute, Battle of the Bands last Saturday, it has been raining praise and one big news after another.

Not that success comes completely out of the blue. Bouke has already won a talent show on television three times before, the first in 2009. But this win was extra special, according to him. At one point, 2 million people watched him in the SBS6 program, his interpretation of In the ghetto went viral in America and his mother was forced to watch the final from a hospital bed due to heart problems.

Through the win The Tribute, Battle of the Bands, with force majeure also, he headlines three major tribute concerts in the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome, in April this year (all three sold out). But at Inside today , with self-proclaimed Bouke fan Johan Derksen at the table, the Emmenaar was able to announce that next year he will also be performing solo with a full evening program in the Amsterdam concert hall. Under the appropriate Elvis title It’s Now Or Never .

Who doesn’t want to wait for that: for now he will perform with his show Bouke Rocks Elvis across the country, including in Emmen and Hoogeveen. Tickets are still available for the latter, but it is urgent.
