Yet, through all the Elvis comparisons, he wants to remain himself. He prefers to stay away from Elvis impersonators like Las Vegas, he stated. “We don’t wear that white suit and the sideburns,” he says about the ElvisMatters band with which he has been visiting theaters for years. “I have to be able to put my heart into the music. If I’m standing there as someone else, then I can’t. So we bring it to the public in an honest way.”
