The jewelry and watch manufacturer Boucheron takes over a jewelry workshop in Paris. The takeover of the studio, which includes the companies Belter, Etablissements E. Blondeau, Chanson & Cie. and FG Développement, is the first from the jeweler, which belongs to the luxury goods group Kering.
The acquisition of the atelier, known for its excellent expertise in traditional craftsmanship, is part of the brand’s continuous growth and development strategy, Boucheron announced on Monday. Around 60 artisans worked for the studio and have been part of the Boucheron team since October 31st.
“With the acquisition of this atelier for high-quality jewelry, a new chapter is written in the history of the house,” said Boucheron CEO Hélène Poulit-Duquesne. “It will strengthen the production capacities of Boucheron’s historic atelier on Place Vendôme and enable us to meet the increasing demand of our customers while maintaining the excellence of our craftsmanship.”
