Botic van de Zandschulp has to look for a new coach after a break with Lucassen

Botic van de Zandschulp announced today that it has ended the collaboration with his coach Peter Lucassen. Earlier today, the tennis player from Amstelveen beat world top Karen Khachanov at the ATP tournament in Dubai.

After last week’s elimination in Doha, Lucassen and Van de Zandschulp decided to no longer want to continue together. In the coming weeks, physiotherapist Miguel Janssen and Dennis Sporrel will serve as the temporary coaches of the 27-year-old tennis player.

“Peter and I decided together to end our collaboration. We actually did that after the Doha tournament,” says Van de Zandschulp in front of the camera of Ziggo Sport. “Peter has been there for me every day for a year and a half. I want to thank him very much for that. But I think it is the right decision for me and for him and that it makes us happy at the moment.”
