The two primary schools in the Emmer district of Delftlanden will each have an emergency room. This is necessary because the number of students is increasing at both the public primary school Delftlanden and the Christian primary school Het Talent.

Since the opening of the two schools in 2009, they have been located next to each other in a semi-permanent building on the Zandzoom. This will not be the case forever.

In the multi-year plan that the municipality presented last autumn, it can be read that the mayor and aldermen want to make 4.3 million euros available next year for the new construction of a stone school building in the youngest district of Emmen.

Because the schools need more space more quickly, it has now been decided to install two emergency rooms.
