The skateboarding event Koff’s speed runs offered speed and dangerous situations to skateboarding lovers in the familiar style. MTV reported that Sunday’s race took a dark turn, however, when a Finnish man in his 50s broke onto the track without permission.

Race organizers told MTV that the man jumped off the ramp, then crashed into the landing ramp behind the water barrier and injured his leg.

– We tried to control as best we could. This person got through the control, unfortunately. No one could stop him. I was at the bottom of the course, and I was hoping that someone would have caught the speed slope, organized the event Marc-Antonie Marcoux told MTV.

The jumper was transported directly to the hospital. Marcoux told MTV that both of the jumper’s legs were broken in the accident. However, the organizer says that the man’s condition is stable.

Marcoux tells MTV that he had never seen the man in question before. The organizer suspects that he was intoxicated.
