Bosz doesn’t want to look at the red card too much: ‘It’s something like that every time’

Partly due to an early red card for FC Twente, PSV had a simple evening in Enschede. Peter Bosz saw that it was a turning point in the match, but did not want to see it as the reason for the victory. “It’s like that every time, we’re just a good team.”

The match was evenly played until Mees Hilgers’ red card in the 23rd minute. PSV then took the initiative and had an unexpectedly easy evening in Enschede. Peter Bosz admitted that the red card influenced the match, but mainly wanted to compliment his team.

“On one occasion we only played against teams from the right row and now it would be due to a red card.”

“I didn’t think we started very well. Of course that red card helps. But that’s the way it is every time. We have now won thirteen games in a row. That’s because we have a good team. We are doing well, because we also score three goals against ten men.”

Bosz continues his argument. “On one occasion we only played against teams from the right row and now it would be due to a red card. We just show it every week.”

“We are not going to Feyenoord for a point.”

Joey Veerman also did not want to point to the red card. “Some people also make the match against FC Twente too difficult. We are also just very good. We can put pressure on an opponent. She also wanted to be high, but they couldn’t make it happen.”

And so victory number thirteen was added to the winning streak. Next week PSV can take a giant step towards a national title. If Feyenoord wins, it puts its direct competitor on ten points. “I’m really looking forward to it,” Veerman looked ahead. “We have already won once this season and are seven points ahead of them. Then we will go there with confidence. We don’t go there thinking that one point is enough. We want to win there.”
