Bosz after another PSV victory: ‘Unprecedentedly good performance’

PSV won 4-0 against PEC Zwolle on Sunday afternoon and continued their impressive winning streak. The Eindhoven team has already won twelve games in a row in the Eredivisie. Peter Bosz took the time afterwards to emphasize that it is really not as simple as it sometimes seems.

“Football is not a day at the office,” says Bosz. But the PSV coach had to admit that it did look that way. PSV won against PEC Zwolle in a very businesslike manner. A match like so many already played this Eredivisie season. The PSV coach wanted to emphasize that it is not as obvious as it seems.

“We have now won twelve times in a row. That is really not self-evident. It is an unprecedented achievement. But today you also see in the first half the danger it can pose. We were far too lazy. It may be 2-0, but we were vulnerable in the transition.”

“Our performance is worth a great compliment.”

Jerdy Schouten agreed with that. “I understand if it looked perfunctory. But it is indeed not self-evident that we win these kinds of matches. We win every match by at least two goals. That is worth a big compliment.”

Now an international break awaits, after which PSV will have three tough away games in 8 days. It will then visit FC Twente, Sevilla and Feyenoord. Wonderful posters. “This is also why you went to football,” Bosz said on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m really looking forward to the matches after the international break.”

“I’m really looking forward to those matches. It is of course a tough program because these teams are close to us.” Schouten: “These are great matches. But we are not going to approach them differently either. We are also going for the win there,” the midfielder qualified the program.

The PSV player will first go to Zeist, because he has been called up for the Dutch national team again in a long time. “I’m really happy with that,” he said with a big smile. “I know a little bit what to expect, but of course it remains very special.”
