FOOTBALL – Jan Piet Bosma from Assen has been immediately put on non-active by Harkemase Boys. The head coach is held responsible by the club for the poor results in recent months.
“It is never an easy decision,” writes chairman Sippe Heeringa on the football club’s website. “But in the interest of the club and the preservation of life in the Third Division, we have to make this necessary and annoying decision.”
Harkemase Boys is currently thirteenth in the Derde Divsie (which also includes ACV), with two points ahead of number 15, ODIN ’59. The numbers 15 and 16 of the list will play at the end of the season in a playoff with period champions from the main division, with two places in the third division as stake.
Harkemase Boys is looking for a replacement for Bosma for the rest of the season. Five of the last twelve matches have been drawn and lost seven times. After this season, Wim Bakering from Norg will become a trainer in Harkema. Bosma then starts working at Marum, where Bakering is currently active.
In the past Bosma was a trainer at HZVV, De Weide, Achilles 1894, Noordscheschut and HHC.
