Just before training camp
Christoph Kramer injured his knee and Borussia Mönchengladbach will be out for several weeks. The Bundesliga club announced on Friday that the 32-year-old had torn an inner ligament in his right knee. According to the club, Kramer fell to the ground during one of the last training exercises and left the field with a bandaged knee after a short treatment. The detailed medical examinations then brought the temporary end for the midfielder.
It was said that Kramer would miss the upcoming training camp at Tegernsee. Starting Sunday, new coach Gerardo Seoane will be preparing his team for a good week. It is not clear from the Gladbacher’s announcement whether Kramer can be back at the start of the competitive game. On August 11, Borussia will play TuS Bersenbrück in the DFB Cup. The Bundesliga opener against FC Augsburg awaits on August 19th.
