Borrell: We fear Russia won’t stop in Ukraine
Josep Borrell, the European Union’s head of foreign policy, said on Sunday that member states are concerned that the crisis caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could spill over into Moldova, Georgia and the western Balkans, among others.
“We are concerned about what could happen in the region,” Borrell said in Brussels after a virtual meeting of EU foreign ministers on the crisis. “We are afraid that Russia will not stop in Ukraine and that neighboring countries will come under Russian influence.”
Borrell also announced that Poland is prepared to act as a logistics center for the transport of arms to Ukraine.
