The last moments
In February, Börje Salming’s wife Pia Salming told Aftonbladet about the last moments of the hockey legend.
In November, Börje traveled to the Toronto Maple Leafs and dropped the starting puck. After that, he took part in the Swedish hockey gala.
It was Börje Salming’s last public appearance.
– He used his last strength that evening. It showed his delicacy as a person, when he is so sick, he gathered his last strength and was there, says Pia Salming Aftonbladet in the interview.
Börje spent his last moments with his family.
– I don’t want to talk about it (about the last day). We want it to be private between the family. But he didn’t suffer, that much I can tell. We were all together.
