Boris Becker affords an expensive luxury penthouse

After his prison sentence, tennis icon Boris Becker has evidently resumed his old lifestyle. In his new adopted home of Milan, the 55-year-old and his partner Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro afforded a super-luxurious and allegedly super-expensive penthouse.

300 square meters, five rooms, a huge roof terrace with a view over the old town: Boris Becker’s home in Milan can best be described in two words: pure luxury.

According to the celebrity magazine “Bunte”, the chic penthouse in the central and trendy district of Guastalla cost around 10,000 euros in rent in an earlier real estate advertisement. The former tennis professional and his Italian partner shouldn’t pay much less either.

Delicatessen shops, fine restaurants and jewelers are within walking distance. It is also not far from the Quadrilatero d’Oro shopping district, which is known for its extremely high prices.

Financially, Becker seems to be doing very well again. “I’m out of the woods,” he explained back in May at the OMR digital trade fair in Hamburg, announcing at the time that he wanted to end his private bankruptcy as quickly as possible. He also confirmed the move to Italy with de Carvalho Monteiro.

Again negative headlines about tennis icon Boris Becker

Recently, however, there have also been negative headlines about the six-time Grand Slam champion.

The organizer Jürgen Höller accused Becker of canceling the participation in a motivational event in Munich in December that he had promised during his prison sentence without giving a reason.

Compared to “Bild” he described Becker as “in no way refined, but absolutely unreliable, arrogant and withdrawn like before his prison sentence”.

The behavior of the sports legend is “the very last thing, a bottomless cheek”.
