The town hall of Borger-Odoorn in Exloo will be given a facelift over the next two years. Among other things, a new council chamber will be built and the building will be made more sustainable.
The space where the councilors now sit is too small, both for the politicians and the public. “The council therefore decided at the end of last year to build a new council chamber,” said mayor Jan Seton. What is certain is that the meeting room at the rear of the central hall will face the inner garden of the town hall.
Preparations for the renovation will start this year. This will be started definitively in the course of next year, after which meetings will have to be held in the new room a year later.
