“How dangerous. How sad”were the words that Lali Esposito had tweeted on his account the day Javier Milei led the PASSED. Six months have passed since that post and the singer confirmed her reaction at that moment: the President has been carrying out a systematic attack against the singer, due to public funds that are allocated to hiring artists in cultural festivals.
“When Córdoba makes the Cosquín Rock, which is private, gives it billions of pesos in subsidies. All the artists who were there, for example, Lali ‘Deposit’, they collected from the State. But Lali Depósito collected money from several governments. In one of the recitals he earned 350 thousand dollars. So, are you willing to finance those expenses against the VAT that takes food from the poor kids of Chaco? To finance that culture you are going to put it on… Two thirds of the children are in conditions of poverty,” said the president during an extensive interview with La Nación +.
“133 thousand dollars for singing for 40 minutes in La Rioja,” Milei later stated and added: “On top of that, they tell me that ‘the great artist’ does not sing, but rather plays back.”
But that criticism of Lali could return like a boomerang to the President’s inner circle. The thing is that Fátima Florez, Milei’s partner, also has her background of having done shows for different governments. The political scientist Mariano Tillion his X account, made a thread of all the events that the president’s girlfriend starred in for municipalities and provinces.
Actress, comedian and singer, Fatima Florez I have been part, in his extensive career, of different presentations that were supported by institutions and sectors of the state.
In X’s account, Flórez’s count of events begins with the Poncho Festival in Catamarca, developed in the month of July 2017. In the post, you can see a video of the comedian saying goodbye to a large audience from the stage. The following comment is a flyer from “Living Conception”a festival organized by the municipality of Concepción, with a Fátima Flórez wearing the presidential sash in the center, along with numerous guest artists.
It is followed by the Festival of the 89th anniversary of the municipality of Cutral Co. On a flyer you can see an image of the current girlfriend of the head of the National Executive Branch as the absolute protagonist of the event to celebrate the city. Another image is that of Flórez as the guest artist for the “Tribute to Women”organized by the City of London, in 2019.
Almost like a paradox of fate, Fátima Flórez was also in the Córdoba city of Cosquín offering her shows. In the very Prospero Molina Squarethe work was presented for the whole family “Fatima is World”. An event with a live orchestra and the accompaniment of various musicians on stage.
