Boohoo opens its own quality control laboratory

The British clothing group Boohoo Group Plc strengthens internal quality control. In cooperation with TÜV Rheinland, the fast fashion provider has set up a laboratory at the company’s headquarters in Manchester in which materials and products will be examined in the future, Boohoo announced on Thursday.

“The new facility will give the company and its suppliers better visibility into product quality. A large number of tests are available there to ensure that the products meet both the legally required standards and the necessary performance criteria. The laboratory is the first facility of this type for the clothing supplier and enables “quick, efficient and cost-effective testing of clothing items in-house”.

In addition to these efficiency gains, “improvements in quality, reliability and customer experience are also being driven forward”. By testing the materials, the company and its customers could in future have “greater confidence in the longevity of the fabrics,” the company explained.
