Bono’s daughter posts a bikini selfie with starfish – users outraged

Jordan Joy Hewson, daughter of U2 singer Bono, posted a bikini selfie to mark the end of 2022. “Love you 2022” she captioned.

In the photo she presents a starfish. The legitimate criticism that starfish could die if they were taken out of the water was voiced immediately on Instagram. “Sorry but you shouldn’t grab starfish and take them out of the water, they are very sensitive animals and die super easy,” one user posted.

That faux pas aside, it’s been a good year for the Hewson clan: Her father’s autobiography, Surrender, received mostly positive reviews. It was recently announced that Bono will be presenting a residency on the book at the Beacon Theater in New York.

It’s also been a good year for Jordan Hewson, 33. Her tech start-up Speakable, which put her on a Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2019, continues to be successful. The flagship is the “Action Button” plug-in. It is intended to make social commitment easier for users – for every moving message, the “Action Button” presents fundraisers on reputable portals.
