Attention U2 fans: Apple TV+ will bring the new documentary event “Bono: Stories of Surrender” worldwide to streaming service on May 30, 2025.
This is a filmic implementation of Bonos of the same name one-man show, which is based on his autobiography “Surrender: 40 songs, a story”. Andrew Dominik (“Blonde”, “the murder of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford”) is responsible for the direction.
“Bono: Stories of Surrender” accompanies Bono on the stage of the Beacon Theater in New York. There Bono did what he did in the Berlin Admiral Palace in 2022: he invited to an evening based on his autobiography. An evening that was neither a classic reading nor a pure concert – but a grandiose performace around Bonos. In addition to great stories from Bonos moved life, the film offers exclusive concert recordings with special performances by U2 songs.

“Bono: Stories of Surrender (Immersive)” also publishes a version specially developed for Apple Vision Pro. The first feature film production in the new Apple Immersive Video format is bono in 8K resolution and spatial audio-in the 180-degree experience format. A win for everyone: Vision-Pro user: Bono can experience more than ever-and Apple is expanding the content offer for its high-priced but not yet in the mainstream AR glasses.
The project also includes well -known producers: Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner (Plan B Entertainment) as well as the Jon Kamen and Dave Sirulnick (Radicalmedia) awarded with Oscars and Emmys. Bono itself is involved in addition to Jennifer Pitcher and Kelly McNamara as an executive producer.
