More and more changes are becoming known in Telecinco, and it is that as “Something happens TV” advances Pedro Piqueras already has a substitute in the Telecinco news. And it is that the chain has a good number of novelties for the next season after announcing the end of Sálvame.
The end of “Save me” was known a couple of weeks ago. The program presented by Jorge Javier Vázquez does not seem to fit into the new channel project brought by the current direction of Mediaset after the departure of Paolo Vasile. That, added to the show’s low audience figures, which has been in decline for more than a year, has caused the heart program to have an expiration date: June 23, a week later than initially announced.
The one of some of them will settle in the courts. This has been confirmed by Sergi Ferré, one of the “Save me” reporters, who has denounced the producer, “The television factory”, for damages for unpaid overtime.
Mediaset España closed the month of April as the most watched audiovisual group with a 26.5% share in total individuals and the one that grew the most compared to April 2022 (+9 tenths), beating its competitor by six tenths (25 .9%), who also it has exceeded for the 13th consecutive month in commercial target with 28.4% and among publics under 55 years of age, where it raises its average to 29.3%.
The group has also risen to the lead in prime time with 25.5%, positioning itself as the only group that grows compared to last month (+3 tenths) and with the highest increase (+1.7 points) over April of 2022. It has raised iLikewise, its figures in the commercial target of prime time up to 27.2%, where for the third consecutive month it is the leader, improving five tenths in this parameter compared to April of last year.
In addition, Telecinco has recorded its highest data in five months (11.4%); Four (4.8%) it has obtained its best record in prime time in April of the last three years (5.4%); and thematic channels have achieved their best mark since August 2016 with 10.3%.
Renewal
But the renewal of Mediaset does not end with Save me. The group also plans to modify other areas of Telecinco, beyond entertainment. And it is that according to “Something happens TV”, Carme Chaparro and Alba Lago will replace Pedro Piqueras in the news during the months of July and August. It remains to be seen what happens from September.
