According to the police, there have been renewed bomb threats against various facilities in Berlin.

A police spokesman said on Wednesday that various media houses and diplomatic missions in the capital were affected. He did not give a specific number. The spokesman also could not provide any information as to whether the wording was the same as in previous incidents. In all cases, it was said that the threats were not serious.

The state security agency, which is responsible for politically motivated crimes, is investigating charges of disturbing the public peace by threatening to commit crimes, the police spokesman said. The department is already investigating such threats, which, according to police reports, were received at schools, media outlets and embassies in Berlin on Tuesday night. According to the Federal Police, Berlin Central Station was also one of them.

Bomb threats at schools nationwide triggered major police operations on Tuesday. However, it is currently the autumn holidays in Berlin. Such incidents already occurred on Monday. The background is still unclear.
