The Nettorama on Gruttostraat in Den Bosch was evacuated just after eleven on Friday evening due to a bomb threat. The area around the supermarket was cordoned off and train traffic to and from Den Bosch was temporarily halted. After investigation by the police, it turned out to be a false alarm.

At the time of the report, a number of Nettorama employees were still in the building. They immediately left the building. All the other shops in the vicinity of the supermarket were already empty.

Initially, the police cordoned off an area within a radius of 400 meters around the Nettorama. That was soon returned to the immediate vicinity of the store. According to a spokesperson for the security region, local residents have not had to leave their homes.

A police bomb scout has been investigating the location. For example, he looked in and under several cars with a flashlight and mirror. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service has not been called.

The investigation was completed approximately one and a half hours later – around 12:30 am – the spokesman for the security region confirms. “Nothing was found. All emergency services then returned.” However, it remains unclear where the message comes from. “The police are now investigating further.”
