Bolsonaro party fined millions for contesting Brazilian election results

Brazil’s highest electoral college has rejected President Jair Bolsonaro’s complaint that some of the votes cast in the presidential election are invalid. His liberal party must also pay a fine of 23 million real (4.1 million euros). According to judge Alexandre Moraes, who presides over the electoral tribunal, the party has tried to undermine the electoral system with the complaint. Moraes also forwarded the case to the Supreme Court.
