Femke Bol has conquered the 400 meters title for the third time at the NK indoor athletics. The 22-year-old athlete from Amersfoort won the final in the Omnisport van Apeldoorn in a time of 50.30, which was a big Dutch record. She dived well below the 50.63 she set at the European Indoor Championships last year. Lieke Klaver ran to silver in 51.20. The bronze went to Lisanne de Witte in 52.65.
Bol was already the big favorite for gold in advance. She is the reigning European champion and has been unbeaten in the 400 meters indoor for over a year. Last summer she participated in the success of the Dutch athletics team at the Tokyo Olympics by taking bronze in the 400 meters hurdles.
