The entertainers Jan Böhmermann and Olli Schulz, who commentate on the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF, said they would also step in on stage.

“Olli and I are preparing for everything,” said Böhmermann in the “Stern” interview. “Also that “Lord of the Lost” could be canceled unexpectedly that evening and that Germany quickly needs a substitute title for the ESC final so as not to embarrass itself internationally.”

What does he like about the ESC? “I also sit in the theater or in a musical and look at productions that no dance theater critic would throw shit at,” said Böhmermann. “And I’m happy when a great effect is achieved. It’s still a nice evening for me. I’m as enthusiastic as a drunk 14-year-old.”

Böhmermann and Schulz will comment on the ESC final on May 13 in Liverpool for the ORF media library and the ORF youth culture radio station FM4. The Hamburg rock band Lord of the Lost will represent Germany in the competition with their song “Blood & Glitter”.
