Bogner closes the 2022/23 financial year with an increase in sales and earnings

The clothing supplier Willy Bogner GmbH closed the 2022/23 financial year with a solid increase in sales and also made progress in terms of earnings.

According to a statement published on Friday, sales in the financial year ended at the end of March amounted to 175.6 million euros. This exceeded the previous year’s level by 5.6 percent. The company achieved growth both in its wholesale business (+10 percent) and in its own stores (+8 percent) after demand in 2021/22 was still burdened by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. E-commerce revenue, however, fell by 15 percent.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were also well above the previous year’s figure at 9.5 million euros. According to the company, in the 2021/22 financial year it reached a total of 4.4 million euros, adjusted for one-off expenses as a result of the “successfully implemented performance program”.

Frank Wiesner, Bogner’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), was satisfied with the results. “The numbers show that Bogner works across channels and in all regions,” he explained in a statement. “We benefit from this broad positioning. Bogner remained financially stable during the pandemic and has been on a growth path since then. We will maintain this even in post-Covid times.”
