A 19-year-old festival-goer died on Saturday at the hardstyle festival Decibel Outdoor in Hilvarenbeek. Police said attempts were made to resuscitate the man. The cause of death is not yet known.
According to the police, the deceased was found in a tent in the morning on the camping site of Safaripark Beekse Bergen, where the festival is held.
The police are investigating whether there are wrong drugs in circulation and whether the festival-goer has died as a result.

A spokesperson for Decibel Outdoor confirms that there was an incident with a visitor on the festival site in the course of Saturday morning: “That person was taken away by ambulance. Unfortunately, we later heard that he had passed away. Terrible. Our condolences to all relatives. “
