Body found in the undercarriage after flight from Amsterdam to Istanbul: possible stowaway who climbed aboard on September 10 | Abroad

The body was in an Airbus A330 that took off from Schiphol in the early evening on Thursday, Demirören news agency reported. The plane landed in Turkey about three hours later, after which the body was discovered during a maintenance inspection. Turkish news site Internethaber says that police cordoned off the plane for further investigation after the discovery.

According to Internethaber, the deceased is probably a stowaway, although it could also be an employee. It is believed that the person climbed aboard the plane on September 10, during a flight that took off from Banjul airport in Gambia. Public data on the aircraft in question shows that the aircraft has since visited more than ten destinations, in Europe, Asia and Africa.
