In the search for the missing Frank Droog (36), a body was found in the water of the Noordhollands Kanaal. Whether it concerns the Alkmaarder remains to be seen. A special diving team has entered the channel and is investigating.
This morning the search began in the water with sonar boats and police dogs. The quay on the Helderseweg is now full of forensic investigations and a diving team.
A white sail has been stretched, behind which divers are currently investigating, says reporter Maaike Polder.
Family informed
The police say that the family and friends of the missing Frank from Alkmaar are aware that a body has been found in the water.
The Helderseweg is closed to traffic from the center.
