Bobsleigh track in Cesana, the reportage: the conditions and cost of the works

Thus the Turin 2006 plant restarts, which must be ready for autumn 2025. Ballot with Cortina as the Italian headquarters. Photovoltaic panels and ammonia-free refrigeration

by our correspondent Davide Romani

Un shy sun and lots of silence. There is no surveillance, the cameras located along the route give no signs of life. The only good giant to keep company on the Cesana Pariol slope is Mount Chaberton. The 19 curves (11 on the left and 8 on the right) in 114 meters of altitude difference for a length of 1,435 meters are observed and guarded by the fortified cannon battery which in 1940 played an active role in the war on the border between Italy and France. In a few days this track, inaugurated in 2005 – costing 110 million euros – and closed in 2011, will return from being terminally ill to having a shred of hope to return to life.
