Another double success for the German bobsledders in St. Moritz: Laura Nolte triumphed in the two-man bobsleigh, just ahead of world champion Lisa Buckwitz.
The German bobsledders achieved their next double victory at the World Cup in St. Moritz.
As with the success in the monobob the day before, the first two places in the two-man race were also in German hands, this time Laura Nolte triumphed just ahead of world champion Lisa Buckwitz. Third place went to the Swiss pilot Melanie Hasler.
Nolte with an outstanding second run
It was exactly the opposite of the previous day: Buckwitz (Oberhof) was still narrowly in the lead after the first run, Nolte made up the gap thanks to an outstanding second run including a track record. Ultimately, the two separated by eight hundredths of a second.
Thanks to the narrow victory, Nolte remains the leader in the two-man World Cup with 650 points. Buckwitz (601) took second place, but is further ahead in the overall World Cup. Kim Kalicki (Wiesbaden) was the third German to finish seventh.
