Actor Bob Odenkrik says he wanted ‘Better Call Saul’ to continue after his heart attack. Last year, the show’s finale briefly looked bad. The 60-year-old suffered a heart attack on set. “It’s been a scary day for everyone,” he says in a video from the season 6 Blu-ray bonus footage. “I really went under, I turned grey. It actually seemed over.”

If the actor had been seriously injured or even died as a result, the creators of the series would have canceled the show, the studio said. Odenkirk, on the other hand, would have wanted them to cast a different mime in his role. “Just to tell the story that they wrote,” he said. “It wouldn’t have been great, but better than nothing.”

Luckily, the actor survived the heart attack and was able to turn off the series.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to Breaking Bad and tells the story of attorney Saul Goodman before he meets drug dealer Walter White.
