Bob Dylan sings Tony Bennett’s “Once Upon A Time”

Bob Dylan also made an appearance as part of Tony Bennett Celebrates 90 in 2016. The birthday concert in honor of the musician, who had already turned 90 in August of that year and was celebrated on the show by Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder and many others, sometimes seemed like an award ceremony that was a bit out of the ordinary – but that was precisely why it had its own charm.

Fascinating atmosphere

Though Bob Dylan may not have liked it, he did a gorgeous, unctuous rendition of Tony Bennett’s “Once Upon A Time.” He held the microphone stand in an almost nostalgic and almost eerie way for the entire length of the song, while the light and the gentle camera work conjured up a scenario that seemed utterly timeless.
