Jerome Boateng (35) defends himself. The world champion was recently linked with a move to Heidenheim. Coach Frank Schmidt rejected a transfer.
Now she’s teasing Boateng-Page back!
Boateng advisor Tolga Dirican: “We are very surprised by Frank Schmidt’s statements. Jerome never gave Heidenheim his word and at no time expressed his interest in moving there.”
According to advisor Dirican, Heidenheim asked for a meeting with Boateng, which took place on November 3rd. According to BILD information, Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald and Boateng’s management met at Munich Airport.
Heidenheim would have “courted” the world champion, said Dirican.
Then plain language: “To turn this around as if Heidenheim canceled Jerome is an impudence and also bizarre.”
FCH trainer Frank Schmidt before the 2:4 in Munich on Sky about a possible Boateng deal: “I was surprised to read that. But we have a DNA with young players, he wouldn’t fit in.”
Boateng has been without a club since leaving Olympique Lyon in the summer. Given its defensive personnel problems, FC Bayern had considered a recall campaign, but ultimately rejected it. Afterwards, a rumor arose that Heidenheim was looking into signing the defender.
