A boat capsized on the Volkerak near Dinteloord and one person was most likely killed. This was announced by a spokesperson for the Central and West Brabant Safety Region.
There were two more people in the boat. They are missing. The accident happened shortly after half past five on Tuesday afternoon.
The emergency services have responded en masse. An air ambulance has also been called in.
