BNNVARA knows what else is about to come out about Khalid Kasem and that doesn’t lie, says media insider Lars Duursma. “And yes, that is also about Ridouan Taghi.”
The judge is currently considering whether AD may publish another article based on the leaked recordings of Peter R. de Vries. The first article ended Khalid Kasem’s TV career in one fell swoop – he appears to have behaved shady during his time as a lawyer – and now a second article is on the way.
‘It’s on the street’
Royce de Vries, son of Peter R. and former officemate of Khalid, is trying to stop that. The judge will make his ruling on Friday, but even if he were to win, he would not gain much from it, according to communications expert Lars Duursma. According to him, far too many people already know about what exactly the AD wants to publish.
Two weeks ago, numerous parties were asked to respond, Lars explains in the podcast The Communicados. One of those parties was Royce and the questions he was asked prompted his current attempt to silence the AD. “But many more parties have been asked to be heard.”
BNNVARA knows more
One of those parties is BNNVARA, says Lars. “We are sure that one party has been asked for a response: BNNVARA. Based on those rebuttal questions, they know quite well what the scope of the second AD article will be. The question is of course: why is BNNVARA asked for a response to this article?”
According to Lars, the answer is clear. “Well, that’s because the article is about their own presenter. The second AD article is not about Royce de Vries. That article is about Khalid Kasem. That is the focus of the article.”
Ridouan Taghi
Why then does Royce file summary proceedings and not Khalid? Because he would fear for his own safety. “Anyone with any deductive ability can immediately figure out where the threat lies. Of course, that has everything to do with Ridouan Taghi,” said Lars.
Khalid used to be in class with this criminal and has previously been linked to him; he was suspected of leaking information to his criminal organization. For example, if Khalid acknowledges on the tapes that he did leak to Taghi, or that there is a closer connection with him than is known, then Royce could also get into trouble.
Public secret
Lars doesn’t beat around the bush: he knows what information about Khalid is about to come out. “Precisely because quite a few people already knew what the article was about before the announcement of the summary proceedings – and therefore also before the judge’s ban on communications – the subject of the article has now become something of an open secret.”
He concludes: “It’s already going around quite a bit. And yes, we are not going to say anything about the content of the article here in this podcast, but we can confirm one thing based on conversations with people who should know: the article is primarily about Khalid Kasem. And yes, the article is also about Ridouan Taghi…”
Oops, oops, oops. Can someone already deliver a black bar to one of Khalid’s properties?
