Blur play rarities live and add Phil Daniels to “Parklife”.

In Eastbourne, England, they also brought “Coping”, “Song 2” and “Sunday Sunday” to the stage.

Blur are currently playing a handful of warm-up gigs in preparation for their upcoming European tour. Such a show also took place on Sunday 21st May at the Winter Garden in Eastbourne, UK. The English dug out some older tracks that they hadn’t played live for a long time. For example, fans last heard the song “Coping” in 2003 and the song “Sunday Sunday” (both tracks from the 1993 album MODERN LIFE IS RUBBISH) last eleven years. Chemical World’s B-side track “Young & Lovely” was also included in the setlist, making it the first performance since 2014.

With “The Narcissist” and “St. Charles Square” Blur also played two songs from the upcoming record THE BALLAD OF DARREN. Classics such as “Coffee & TV”, “Song 2” and “Girls & Boys” were also performed live by the group.

The band provided a highlight with their 1994 hit “Parklife”, for which even the English actor Phil Daniels came on stage. He embodied in music video for the song the main role at the time. Daniels shared a selfie on Twitter holding the concert’s setlist.
