Johan Derksen’s blues tour, The Sound of The Blues & Americana, has been completely canceled. Theater agency AT Next has announced this.
“In consultation with the band and those involved, it was decided to cancel the tour. There was not enough support from the parties for a continuation,” reports AT Next. The organization declined to provide any further explanation.
Johan Derksen, from Grolloo, was the spokesperson for the tour, but after his statements at Today Inside, AT Next broke off cooperation with him. The agency let the future of the collaboration depend on the apologies that Derksen would offer last week on talk show Today Inside for his controversial candle story. When those failed to materialize last Thursday, AT Next decided not to continue with him.
It has now been decided to cancel the continuation of the tour, which would last until the end of this month. There were still eight performances on the program, none of which were in a theater in Drenthe.
