A parking disc will also be required on the north side of the Heerestraat and in the car park behind the Jumbo in Roden if you want to park your vehicle there. The Noordenveld city council gave the green light tonight for an expansion of the ‘blue zone’ in the village.
Since May 2021, visitors to the Roner center must have a parking disc with them. The blue zone already applied to the beginning of the Heerestraat, the Albertsbaan and the Wilhelminastraat, among other things. This is now being extended to the head of the Heerestraat (near the Scapino and Bij Alex Brillen) and the Westerbaan (the car park behind the Jumbo, Action and Hema).
The Business Circle supports the expansion of the blue zone. Remarkable, because a few years ago the entrepreneurs’ club was still strongly against it. The neighborhood association in the Roner center also agrees with the proposal.
The entire city council unanimously approved the plan. A total of 48,000 euros will be earmarked for the expansion of the blue zone.
