The women of The Blue Happy Bacon are busy rehearsing new repertoire. The choir currently has room for low altos and high sopranos.
The pop choir, which has been around for more than 20 years, was founded in January 2001 by the then conductor Petra Lunsche. In May 2019 Blue Happy Bacon continued with Marco Warta as conductor.
The choir rehearses once a week on Wednesday evenings (except during school holidays) from 20:00 to 22:00 in the theater of the Reformed Church at Kerkstraat 1 in Nieuwe Pekela.
The members of the choir are divided into four voice groups: high and low altos, high and low sopranos. Currently there is room for low altos and high sopranos. Interested parties can take a look during the rehearsals.
