Blue-green algae was found in the pond of the Jan Banninkpark in Leusden on Wednesday afternoon. The municipality advises against contact with the water. The municipality also informs that pets should not drink from the water or swim in it.

This is now the thirteenth place in the region where blue-green algae has been found. According to the water board, this is no worse than other summers. As with other ponds, signs are placed in the Jan Bannink Park with directions.
