A woman was injured on the Oranjestraat in Hoogeveen early this morning.
Just before half past six, witnesses heard and saw the woman on the street with a bloody head. The police were called due to a possible stabbing. Officers saw a 36-year-old woman of no fixed abode who had suffered minor injuries.
A police spokesperson cannot confirm whether there was a stabbing incident. “But we assume that it is an incident in a relational atmosphere. We have arrested a 38-year-old resident of Hoogeveen for this. He is being interrogated and we are conducting further investigation into the incident.”
