It was one of the many unanswered questions after the serious collision between a BMW and Nissan at the end of November, which claimed the lives of a 21-year-old daughter of a firefighter and a 39-year-old man from Ghent. The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation. In this way, the BMW’s airbag module is read, which – like a black box – contains countless data about the car at the time of the impact. Those results are not yet known. There are still two people in life-threatening condition. The 22-year-old driver of the BMW – he suffered severe brain trauma and was put into an artificial coma, a passenger who was in the Nissan is also still in a life-threatening condition.
