On the spot where the 20-year-old Tilburger died on Friday night, flowers will be laid on Saturday to commemorate him. Dozens of people walk there to put something down and look for support from each other.
The flowers are arranged around a tree along the N65 near Berkel-Enschot. It is the place where the Tilburger crashed with a car on Friday night. A photo of him has also been hung on the tree, with a wreath below it with a message from his family. Friends of the Tilburger come to the place throughout the day to commemorate him.
It is not clear exactly how the man crashed there. Emergency services were alerted around a quarter past five. The car he was in had broken into pieces and partially caught fire. The victim was found under some of the debris. An attempt at resuscitation was then unsuccessful.
