Bloemendaal purveyor to the hockey World Cup

National coach Jeroen Delmee of the Dutch hockey men today announced his final selection for the world championship, which starts in India in mid-January. HC Bloemendaal is purveyor to the court with five players.

In addition to national champion Bloemendaal, Kampong from Utrecht also supplies no fewer than five players. Teun Beins, Maurits Visser and Floris Wortelboer have been called up for the Orange squad for the first time. The trio of Bloemendaal players can make their debut at a final tournament.

The Netherlands will play during the group stage of the World Cup in January against Malaysia (January 14), New Zealand (January 16) and Chile (January 19). In 1998, the Netherlands became world champion for the last time. At the last edition, the final (0-0) was lost to Belgium after taking shoot-outs.
