Blink-182 reunited at Coachella Festival

One of the highlights of the first Coachella weekend was the Blink-182 reunion. The three pop punks played their first concert together since the split in 2015.

Blink-182 performed their reunion concert at this year’s Coachella festival, playing with the DeLonge, Hoppus and Barker line-up for the first time since their split in early 2015. On Friday (April 14) the band made a surprise appearance and played songs from their long band career.

In addition to “What’s My Age Again”, the two 47-year-olds (Barker and DeLonge) and the 51-year-old (Hoppus) celebrated “Family Reunion” (both 1999), “I miss you‘ (2003) and last year’s reunion single ‘Edging’.

Comeback after cancer fight

Bassist and singer Mark Hoppus made his comeback after overcoming cancer. The band announced their reunion last year and are still on a world tour. They also appear in Hamburg and Vienna. A new album is also to follow. In 2015, DeLonge announced that he was leaving the band again, having returned in 2009 after a several-year hiatus.

The first Coachella weekend featured Bad Bunny, Blackpink, the Gorillaz, Frank Ocean and Calvin Harris in addition to the pop punk band. The second part of the popular festival starts on April 21st, when the line-up is likely to repeat itself.
